Ocean Life
In the ocean, you'll find everything from the minute to the magnificent. At the bottom of the food chain is the plankton, zoo and phyto or animal and plant, and it is these micro-organisms that provide the basis of life for the entire planet. It is upon the plankton that the largest marine inhabitants feed, the great baleen whales.
The reefs make up the homes for the majority of ocean life and within these coral castles reside some of the most colorful sea life. Angel fish, damsels, butterfly fish and moorish idols lend neon hues and a kaleidoscope of color. Eels, crabs and octopus hide and hunt in an ongoing orchestra.
The open ocean, water world, is the highway for the world travellers and massive schools of tuna, sardines, salmon and cod are pursued by sharks, dolphins and man and big fish feed off smaller fish and bigger fish feed off them.
